Operations and Administration
Welcome to Your Career in Operations and Administration. The Kansas City Fed offers a wide variety of positions in a number of operational and administrative areas, including:
Positions include:
- Administrative assistants
- Operating clerks
- Customer service representatives
- Facilities technicians
Administrative assistant
Provide administrative support for department units and management, including preparing, revising, and developing documents; maintaining department filing systems; answering phones and inquiries; and completing basic projects.
Operating clerk
Perform a variety of clerical tasks, including processing documents, operating equipment, entering data, distributing mail, maintaining files, and assisting customers with questions or problems.
Customer service representative
Receive incoming telephone calls and respond to general inquiries via the customer service phone line and in person. Complete ad hoc assignments that may include compiling automated and manual data and performing data entry.
Facilities technician
Perform facilities-related functions, including repairs and maintenance, building construction, and service calls and work orders. Meet set schedules and safety standards for equipment maintenance and project work.
Qualifications
Applicants for Operations and Administration positions must have strong interpersonal and customer service skills, possess excellent organization skills, and have the ability to prioritize work and deadlines.
